Loraine Pavich

Loraine’s passion is creating Italian cuisine, pulling bits of wisdom first from one cookbook and then another, times she unearths from her massive library, then adds her own unique twist to the task to ensure the dish manifests. This same approach to multi-tasking applies to the work that consumes her week, which involves juggling photographers, celebrities, and everybody in between for OK! Magazine. As the Bookings Director/Photo Producer for the weekly celebrity news publication, she employs industry knowledge, creative intuition, thorough planning to ensure that each one of their 500,000+ readers gets their fill of news, beauty, travel, and advice.

Hailing from Astoria, Queens, she upset the parents a bit in choosing work over school, landing a job at the Elite modeling agency, a perfect way to explore her interest in photography and cultivate her eye for “the shot,” the start of a diverse career in publishing. After a stretch working with all the New Faces at Elite, Loraine moved to Harper’s Bazaar, settling in the department where she would find her stride, bookings and casting, eventually serving in this same capacity over last two decades at a number of popular magazines like Maxim, Seventeen, and Marie Claire, before assuming the job of Bookings Director at OK! Magazine.

When Loraine isn’t charming celebrities or scouting exotic locals or invoicing famous photographers, she is scouring old book shops for interesting cook books to add to her collection. And she can soon place her own title to those shelves as she is pouring culinary knowledge into her own cook book to be published soon.

Turid Emberland

Turid is a Norwegian art director with her passions firmly planted within gardening, nature, fixing and doing. Some of her captivating photography can be seen within her writings for Italia Living. She is educated in Norway and America, but now lives in the Tuscan countryside with a handful of animals, one man and a vegetable garden. As a result of a fruitful collaboration with the Countess on the estate, she started her own company, Toscana Hus.

Through Toscana Hus, Turid rents out beautiful and historical farmhouses and villas in Tuscany and the Veneto region. Working from home provides her with enough time for everything that is important in her life, like cooking, reading, writing, pulling out weeds, stacking wood and walking the dog.

When Turid is not in the garden or working on Toscana Hus, she writes and philosophizes about the life that arises wherever she lives, and right now that place is Italy and a small mountain village in Tuscany.

Kristine Jannuzzi

Kristine is a writer at New York University. She is a Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of New York University, and has a B.A. in Journalism and Music Theory. Kristine is a NYU Presidential Scholar, and received the Founder’s Day Award for distinction. Member of Kappa Tau Alpha, the National Honor Society in Journalism and Mass Communication. Received Kappa Tau Alpha Award, given to the highest ranking student at NYU for overall excellence in journalism. Kristine studied Italian at Scuola Leonardo da Vinci and ABC Palazzo Malvisi School in Florence. Wrote grant proposals at Carnegie Hall and worked as a publicist at The Juilliard School. She also taught English in Florence.

Jonathan Radford is an established garden designer, specialized in the creation of chic yet practical ecological gardens with a strong Italian flavour.

He has been working as a garden designer for more than 25 years, 16 of which have been spent in Italy.

His garden design system (ecologica) is used to reduce water consumption and general maintenance by 80%.

He now lives on an ancient Tuscan volcano within the Palazzo Cervini estate (www.palazzocervini.com) where has been working on the patient renovation of the grounds of this ancient estate for nine years.

It is from the Palazzo Cervini estate that Jonathan writes his articles, which are all based around the topic of gardening or ecology respectively.
