A native New Yorker, Camille Meola was raised in a family where the appreciation of the arts was a part of everyday life. She was fortunate to have been surrounded by amazingly gifted people that influenced and taught her more than one could ever learn from a text book. While growing-up they spent many weekends in New York City, visiting Museums’, going to the Theatre and taking the time to explore every neighborhood from Little Italy, to Mid-town, and the upper east side.
Camille believes these incredible experiences are the root of her interest in the broad scope of design elements that influences her work today. In particular, she looks to textile design, details of ancient architecture and modern art for inspiration when designing both her DISTINQTIV Jewelry and DeVIN Wine Accessory Collections.
Camille’s recent trip to Rome, Capri and the Amalfi Coast provided trend insight and inspiration for her 2010 Fall & Holiday Collections.
CAMILLE MEOLA Collections was established in 2009 and the on-line retail site www.devincollection.com was launched in May 2010.
THE COLLECTIONS
CAMILLE MEOLA Collections presents two lines of meticulously hand-crafted designs.
Each piece is personally designed and hand fabricated by Camille in her Westchester, New York studio. Tumble polished silver plate wire is used solo or embellished with beautiful focal point beads such as hand-blown Venetian and Murano glass, natural stone, hand painted ceramic, resin and vintage acrylic.
