The home collection and interior design division of Italian luxury house of Missoni made its debut in the U.S. last month with the first MISSONI HOME store opening in the upscale resort town of Southampton, NY. The Missoni Home store features the full range home collection products, including rugs, lamps, bed linen, garden and beach furnishings. Upcoming Missoni Home store openings in the U.S.are planned for Los Angeles and Miami.
Missoni Home is the home furnishing and accent division of the iconic Milan fashion house of Missoni, started by the late Ottavio Missoni and his wife Rosita in 1953. Known for its striking knitwear designs of colorful and geometric prints and embroidered patterns, the Missoni Home line reflects the Missoni design and color palette seamlessly.
The 2013 MISSONI HOME collection is inspired by daisies mixed with irises. Printed on linen and light cotton satin, daisies that seem like Van Gogh’s sunflowers, evocative of the style and colours of Pointillism. Delicate daisies bloom in embroidery on duchess silk or in the “faded” parts of jacquard weaves.
