We’ll be visiting Positano in June 2012 and this is exactly the kind of excursion I was searching for!!! Citrus fruit, especially lemons, are my weak point and I’d love to visit the groves! Any chance you could pass on Carlo De Roso’s contacts? That’d be great help! Many thanks.

Grazie for the explanation about Modica chocolate. We bought some at the Merkur shop on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich (a great source for all things chocolate) and brought a bar back to Vancouver to savour. As my wife and I were gnawing at it, we remarked on how similar the sugar-grainy mouth feel was to Ibarra chocolate from Mexico. The proud announcement on the box encasing the bar about how it was made in the antica tradizione Modicana made me curious enough to Oogle it. Now I see the similarities, via Spanish imperialism, between the chocolate of the people Spain conquered in South America and Sicilia too.
